This is one of those times where the POWER OF FACEBOOK is used for PURE GOOD.
James McConnell of Southsea, Hampshire, England is a veteran of the British Royal Marines. He died last month at age 70, in a nursing home. And James didn't have any known family members.
The nursing home's vicar was worried that no one would be at James's funeral. So he asked the Royal Marines Association to try to publicize it a little bit.
They put a post up on Facebook asking people to come to James's funeral. And it went viral.
So last Thursday . . . at least TWO HUNDRED PEOPLE came to pay tribute to James at his funeral.
