A new study says smartphone usage could be ruining your eyes!
Since the use of cell phones and smart phones started to really become popular, there has been a 35% increase on the number of people with myopia (neartsightedness).
The study also says people are holding their phones closer to their face than they would a book or magazine or newspaper. Which is weird because the next on your phone isn't really any smaller than that in a book or newspaper.
The eye doctor who conducted the study says he expects 40-50% of today's 30-year-olds to have nearsightedness by the year 2033.
Next time you're holding you're checking your phone, consider moving it away from your face.
